Tapasya@Marina Supports Re-Development of Hull Minster

Monday 4th December 2017
By Tapasya

The beautiful Hull Minster is currently undergoing a £4.5 million development, renewing and cementing the building’s important contribution to the 2017 City of Culture. The latest manifestation of this project took form as an opulent banquet, where Tapasya@Marina offered a wonderful prize to one lucky diner!

The banquet saw 150 people dining amidst the Minster’s gothic nave, providing an opportunity to thank supporters of the minster’s development project and raise money to fill a £150,000 funding gap required to complete its next phase. £12,300 was raised through a family auction, with a further £3,100 being raised in a charity raffle. Tapasya@Marina provided one of the prizes, offering an Indian fine dining experience and a meal for four at the restaurant.

The lucky winner was Ms Sarah Brignall, who shall be attending Tapasya@Marina with three fellow diners of her choice. They will be able to spend time behind the scenes with Head Chef, Saurav Nath. He shall guide Sarah and the rest of the group through the creation of his signature food, a fusion of fine dining and Indian street food. After this, they shall be treated to a sumptuous meal in the stylish surroundings of Tapasya@Marina.

It was a pleasure to be involved with this event and to support such a worthy cause, helping to maintain the cultural landscape of Hull. We look forward to treating Sarah to her prize!

The event provided an opportunity to thank supporters of the minster’s development project and raise money to fill a £150,000 funding gap required to complete phase two.
